Ep. 11: Getting Started

… Gotta practice breathing through my nose…

Welcome to my 11th episode, I can finally say this one goes to 11!

So in this episode I talk a bit about how I began with the game, the first campaign I ever ran with Fudge, some pre-made games to get you going, and some ways to engage with the community.

Some quick notes on how to connect with the Fudge IRC channel. If your not “IRC Savvy” you can use the link below to connect using a handy web app linked to on the Grey Ghost Games website. For those familiar with IRC you just need to connect to the Otherworlders server @ irc.otherworlders.org port 6664 and join the #fudge channel.

  1. My favorite one-shot type game is “Mutant Bikers of the Atomic Wasteland”. It has one list of skills/attributes and does not separate them.

I am sometimes reluctant to suggest this to people who are new to Fudge because they see it and think that Fudge is only for this type of ‘fluff’ game and not a ‘serious’ game.
